Fluorescent Ceramides
The fluorescent functional group nitrobenzoxadiazole (NBD) has an absorption of about 467nm and an emission of about 439nm. It is a well known and established label for in vivo and in vitro research. NBD has been shown to have only a small influence on lipid adsorption into cells and cellular membranes making it useful for cellular studies.1,2
